Aromatherapy - is the use of essential oils from plants to enhance general health and appearance. It is used for a variety of conditions including anxiety, insomnia, acne, cellulite, and aging skin. Some essential oils are soothing and relaxing, while others are stimulating and invigorating. Their fragrances can effect our mental state, possess antibacterial, anticeptic, or anti-inflammatory properties and can be highly effective in relieving many symptoms. Feng Shui - is the ancient, Oriental art of balancing energies by integrating people, buildings (home or office), and landscape to create a harmonious environment. Only when balance and harmony are achieved can the energy (chi) or life force of the universe flow freely, resulting in good health, happiness and prosperity. Hypnotherapy -is part of an ancient healing process which dates back to (4,000 BC) and recorded being practiced in ancient times of Greece and Egypt. It is a non-invasive process whereby the patient experiences an enlightened state of concentration and relaxation. While experiencing this state (or zone) the professional therapist uses suggestion to enhance the experience. Many variations have been practiced throughout the ancient worlds and modern hypnosis, recorded in the 18th Century by Mesmer and Freud, utilized this modality for various psychological conditions. Music and Sound Therapy - is the controlled use of musical instruments, or your voice and can be used for the treatment of mental, emotional or physical disorders such as depression, high blood pressure, asthma, ulcers, and physical disabilities. Music should be soft and soothing, and can be used alone or with relaxation techniques. Sound therapy is a very ancient method of healing. Tibetan monks used "overtone chanting for centuries for treating illness. The theory is that the universe is in constant vibration, including our bodies, and even the small change in frequency can affect internal organs. Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho or the Usui system of natural healing) is a Japanese word for universal life energy originating as a branch of Tibetan Buddhism. It was rediscovered in the 19th Century by Dr. Mikao Usui who studied Buddhism, learned Chinese and Sanskrit, and found knowledge in an Indian sutra or sacred text. Reiki is a method of healing which taps into the unseen flow of energy that is found in all living things. It is the ability to channel healing power by attuning each of these philosophies. A Reiki practitioner’s skill is in the transformation of energy by placing his/her hands over a specific area of ones body, transmitting energy or healing into the surrounding aura.
