Homeopathic Medicine (likes treating with likes) or“the law of
similars”. A system
of medical practice that treats a disease by the administration of minute doses
of remedy that would in healthy persons produce symptoms of the disease treated.
Its philosophy is well defined. Do no harm, treat the whole person, use powers
in nature to stimulate cures from within on the principle of similars, let like
cure like. The remedy comes in small pills, granules, tablets, powders, or
liquids as prescribed by your physician. Remedies are highly diluted and will have
little to no adverse effects on some patients, but can cause minimal aggravations to others. There are guidelines, however, to
its administration.
