Hypnotherapy - is part of an ancient healing process which dates back to (4,000 BC) and recorded being practiced in ancient times of Greece and Egypt. It is a non-invasive process whereby the patient experiences an enlightened state of concentration and relaxation. While experiencing this state (or zone) the professional therapist uses suggestion to enhance the experience. Many variations have been practiced throughout the ancient worlds and modern hypnosis, recorded in the 18th Century by Mesmer and Freud, utilized this modality for various psychological conditions. Most recently conditions such as smoking, addictions, fears, pain, trauma, etc. have been successfully treated using hypnosis.
