Music and Sound Therapy - is the controlled use of musical instruments, or your voice and can be used for the treatment
of mental, emotional or physical disorders such as depression, high blood pressure, asthma, ulcers, and physical disabilities.
Music should be soft and soothing, and can be used alone or with relaxation techniques. Sound therapy is a very ancient method of healing. Tibetan monks used "overtone chanting" for centuries for treating illness. The theory
is that the universe is in constant vibration, including our bodies, and even the small change in frequency can affect internal organs. Other therapeutic sounds can be audible therapy found in the churping birds, running streams, waterfalls and alike. Both music and sounds promote the production of endorphins, the body's own painkillers and can help control pain, reduce stress and lift depression.
