| DIARRHEA: abnormally frequent intestinal
evacuations with more or less fluid stools. Some of the causes are intolerance
to certain foods (dairy products), food allergies, high doses of Vitamin C, large amounts of artifical sweeteners,
a virus, bacteria, parasitic infection from contaminated water, anxiety, a change in diet. Dehydration
can occur if there is a severe loss of fluids and electolytes and can result in death. If
symptoms last longer than 48 hours consult your health care provider.
Self Help – (1) 1/2-1 Tsp. carob powder mixed in a small cup of
unsweetened applesauce. (2) A banana/carob powder combination. (3) or a white rice gruel (soup). The juice or malt from
rice soup or barley water can be very healing.

to treat diarrhea, especially the intake of its malt broth. Hot peppermint tea or
