BLOOD PRESSURE, HIGH: Is the measurement of your blood pressing
against the walls of blood vessels (arteries). The output
of blood from the heart, resistance to blood flow, volume of blood flow, and distribution of blood to various organs all
contribute to the range of your blood pressure. Additionally certain hormones and the activity of your
nervous sytem can affect blood pressure. Some symptoms associated with
this condition are headaches, dizziness, ringing in ears, flushed
complexion, fatigue, sleeplessness, etc. It is caused by genetics,
clogged arteries, calcium/fiber deficiency, lack of exercise, poor
diet, anxiety, anger, emotional and physical stress, too much meat protein and salt, etc. The
normal range for blood pressure should be 120/80.
Self Help – Change your Diet!!! (1) Implement a
diet high in potassium, magnesium, calcium, rutin, pectin rich foods. (2) Eliminate salt in your diet and (3)
add Alpha linolenic acid (ALA) or essential fatty acids to regulate blood pressure. (Omega 3 oils and ground flax seeds
are examples
of essential fatty acids). (4) Exercise regularly (at least ½ hour per day) and control your weight. (5) Control your
stress with meditation, guided imagery, diaphragmatic breathing, massage therapy,
biofeedback, hypnosis, color and music therapy, etc. (6) If you smoke, PLEASE try to quit and
