INDIGESTION (Dyspesia): Inability to digest or difficulty in digesting
something, usually caused by eating too quickly, eating too much, or eating
foods that are rich and spicy. Stress can also cause indigestion and the
symptoms can range from abdominal discomfort or pain, heartburn, nausea, gas and
pain in the esophagus.
Self Help – (1) eat smaller meals, (2) cut down on junk foods, (3) and eat
slowly. It has been recommended that one chews 25-35 times before swallowing to increase the secretion of
digestive enzymes which assist in the digestive process.
(4) Get plenty of exercise daily. (5) Eat: Papaya, apple or make ginger root tea.
