WARTS, COMMON: Warts are small growths or
clusters caused by papillomaviruses, when skin is exposed to friction,
trauma, or abrasion. They are found anywhere on the body but mostly on
hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, knees, face and skin around nails.
There are over sixty varieties of warts and common warts can be raised,
flat, dry or moist, rough and have pitted surfaces with the same
color or slightly darker than your regular skin tone, and are highly
contagious.
Self Help – at night apply a paste of castor oil and
baking soda to the area and cover with bandage. This may remove your wart(s) in
2-4 weeks. |
